The government of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati represents "everything but Lebanon," an opposition leader said. Samir Geagea, leader of the Lebanese Forces party and a member of the March 14 Coalition, spoke at a dinner Thursday night in Abu Dhabi honoring the Lebanese community there, The Daily Star reported. "Too bad that Lebanon has such a government, which does not represent anything," Geagea said. "This government represents everything but Lebanon. It is going to take us back to the era before the 2005 Cedar Revolution." Mikati survived a vote of confidence Thursday, getting 68 votes in the 128-member Parliament. Members of the March 14 Coalition walked out before the vote. Geagea said he and his allies will use any legitimate means to oust Mikati. They say his government is dominated by Hezbollah and under the thumb of Syria. Lebanese Forces began as a Christian militia during the civil war 25 years ago.
