Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas conferred here on Wednesday with European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, seat of the European Parliament. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments, especially the Palestinian UN bid. Abbas is scheduled to address the European Parliament on Thursday, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported. His trip will also take him to the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and France to rally support for Palestinian efforts to win full membership in the UN.
