Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met here today French President Nicolas Sarkozy and discussed with him Palestinian plan to go to the UN to attain membership for an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Al Quds as its capital. The meeting was held on the eve of the 66th UN General Assembly due to kick off tomorrow (Wednesday).
