Paraguayan Parliament Speaker Victor Bogado in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi announced his country\'s eagerness to use Iran\'s experiences in hygienic and pharmaceutical fields as well as technical and engineering services.Bogado who headed a parliamentary delegation to Iran to attend the two-day 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada in Tehran earlier this week, underlined the importance of relations between Tehran and Asuncion, and called on both countries to further utilize their potentials and capacities in a bid to develop their mutual cooperation in different fields, specially in parliamentary grounds. During the meeting, the two sides also underscored their willingness to expand their mutual cooperation in farming and animal husbandry and cement production. Iran has in recent years expanded friendly ties with Latin America, specially in economic, trade and industrial fields. Since taking office in 2005, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has expanded Iran\'s cooperation with many Latin American states, including Venezuela, Bolivia and Cuba. Ahmadinejad in a phone talk with his Paraguayan counterpart Fernando Lugo Mendez in March voiced Tehran\'s readiness to expand all-out ties and cooperation with Asuncion in line with the two nations\' interests. During the phone talk, the two presidents discussed development of bilateral relations and cooperation. Referring to the existing potentials in both countries, the Iranian president called for enhancing the current level of mutual cooperation between the two states.
