Parliament committee meets South Korean delegation

The Foreign Relations Committee of the House of Representatives held a meeting with a delegation of the South Korean-Egyptian Parliamentary Friendship Association on Monday.

The committee members underlined that Egypt has to benefit from the South Korean expertise in achieving economic development, especially in information technology.

They noted that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries surpassed two billion dollars with over 103 South Korean companies investing in different domains in Egypt.

They said they are looking forward to doubling the number of South Korean holidaymakers by four times the present figure of 75,000 and called for establishing a South Korean university in Egypt.

The South Korean delegation extended condolences over the victims of an Egyptian plane that crashed Thursday over the Mediterranean Sea.

It said it is ready to further cooperate with Egypt in all fields, especially in information technology
