Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa the Undersecretary for International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today met Ambassador Jarno Syrjälä, the Director-General of Africa and Middle East Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Finland, and his accompanying delegation.
They held the first Political Consultation Meeting between the two countries during which Dr. Shaikh Abdullah stressed the importance of further bolstering bilateral relations and pushing for broader relations and robust partnership between the two friendly countries which share numerous interests and human values, accentuating the need to go on consolidating the remarkably ever-progressing joint cooperation.
He said that the Kingdom of Bahrain boasts a pioneering civilizational and democratic project along with quantum achievements in various fields, including sustainable development and Human rights which entitled it to occupy a distinguished position among the world advanced countries thanks to the comprehensive reforms of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah also pointed to the investment-friendly climate in the Kingdom of Bahrain which is made available in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and the government’s effective programs and plans.
He noted that the Kingdom was keen to learn from other countries’ successful experiences, especially in the areas of technology and digital economy and pointed to the promising investment and economic opportunities and potentials of the two countries.
The two sides reviewed ways of promoting bilateral relations and exchanged views and visions on the current situation and developments of common concern at both regional and international arenas.
