Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday expressed hope for maintaining cooperation between Egypt and the Visegrad member states.
Addressing the closing session of a Visegrad meeting here, the Egyptian president added that today's meeting took up several issues of priority to both sides including means of enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation with the European Union.
Also, the participants discussed means of fighting terrorism and extremism, said the president, asserting the importance of consolidating international efforts on this score.
The summit meeting dealt with means of upgrading cooperation in the security domain, he said, adding that all parties agreed on the necessity of drying up the sources of terrorism through standing up to its sponsors and parties that extend financial, political and logistical support to terrorists.
