Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov asserted the need for conducting immediate investigations to determine who stands behind the assassination of Russian ambassador in Ankara Andrey Karlov.
At a meeting of the foreign ministers of Iran, Russia and Turkey in Moscow on Tuesday, Lavrov appreciated Turkey's response to the attack.
He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart agreed on forming a joint committee to begin its probe into the crime.
The Russian ambassador was killed on Monday at the opening of the "Russia through Turks' eyes" photo exhibition.
