Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Ahmed Darwish met on Thursday with a delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The meeting tackled technical support to be provided by the bank to link the Suez Canal region with Greater Cairo, the SCZone said in a statement.

The talks took up means of making use of expertise of the bank's consultants in the field of transport and shipping, the statement added.

An agreement was reached with the EIB to evaluate demands for transportation means and actual transport services, the statement read.
