Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal.

Federal Minister for Interior and Planning, Development and Reforms, Ahsan Iqbal said on Saturday that it was a constitutional demand to conduct election of Upper House in March.
He expressed these views while addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Passport and Nadra office in Narowal.
He warned the system would derail, if any conspiracy was hatched in this regard.
He criticized Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan and said the opponents hatched conspiracies against the
government by staging sit-ins and demonstrations.
“The conspiracy and demonstrations on Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (SAWW) were actually an effort to end PML-N tenure, but
the government foiled all the conspiracies successfully,” he said.
He said, if the country was pushed towards anarchy, foreign investors would not come Pakistan to invest
in different sectors.
He said people would decide in general elections which party they wanted to be the ruling party.
He said the law and order situation, economy and loadshedding had improved to a great extent in the
country.
He said the government wanted to trickle down the benefits of developments to the people.
Chairman, Nadra Usman Yusuf Mobeen briefed the minister about new Nadra office in Narowal and said the project
would be completed within a year.
