Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Monday with UNESCO director Irina Bokova one hour before the election of a new director for the post on which seven candidates are contesting. 

Shoukry also met with president of the Paris Institute of the Arab World (l'Institut du monde arabe (IMA) Jack Lang.

The meetings were part of efforts to support the candidate of Egypt and Africa Moshira Khattab.
