Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Tuesday that Egypt and members of the Visegrad grouping enjoy friendly and time-honored relations.
In his speech at the closing session of the Visegrad summit here, President Sisi expressed appreciation for high-level cooperation between both sides in several domains.
He added that the status of the Visegrad member states inside the European Union and at the international level enables them to undertake a major role in several international forums for boosting stability and security in the region.
The participants of today's meeting reached an agreement on fighting terrorism in all its forms and shapes and preventing countries from supporting terrorism, he noted.
The president further called for ending the tragedy of the innocent people who are exposed to homelessness due to crises hitting the Middle East region.
The summit meeting took up the crises in Syria, Yemen, and Libya, he pointed out, underlining the necessity that the international community should exert more efforts for pushing up the Middle East peace process and reaching a settlement to the Arab-Israeli dispute.
