The volume of trade exchange between Jordan and Spain is currently at JOD430 million, compared to JOD230 million in 2013, Spain’s Ambassador to Jordan Santiago Cabanas said Sunday, noting that the value of Spanish investment in the Kingdom stand at JOD600 million.
In a seminar organized by the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan, Cabanas added that the two countries are working on developing economic ties between them, adding that trade exchange between Jordan and Spain has doubled since 2013, when it was 200 million euros, and has arrived at 430 million euros.
He noted that the number of visas granted to Jordanians to visit Spain has also doubled from 4,000 to 8,000, so has the number of Spanish tourists in Jordan, which increased by 10 [er cent to 15 per cent in 2016
