U.S. President Barack Obama

Swedish music streaming service Spotify has offered outgoing U.S. President Barack Obama a customized position called "president of playlists" to fill after he departs the White House on Jan. 20.

Spotify posted the job offer in subtle terms on its career opportunities webpage, but it is clear that this position is offered exclusively for Obama.

Requirements for the position include "at least eight years experience running a highly regarded nation" and a Nobel Peace Prize.

The job holder is expected to identify and substantiate new playlist ideas "from a playlist for shooting hoops with your friends, to the perfect warm up playlist for addressing the nation about health care legislation that bears your name," analyze data and performance of playlists in a clear and transparent manner "using all available intelligence," and "attend daily briefings."

The job offer is in response to Obama joking about "waiting for my job at Spotify" once he finishes his presidential term.

Natalia Brzezinski, the wife of former U.S. ambassador to Sweden Mark Brzezinski, wrote on Instagram that Obama told her at a White House reception last week that his 2013 visit to Stockholm was his "favorite trip."

"I'm still waiting for my job at Spotify... Cuz' I know y'all loved my playlist," she quoted Obama as saying.

Obama, a big fan of Spotify, has shared his summer vacation playlists over two consecutive years since 2015.

Just to make sure Obama saw the tongue-in-cheek posting, Spotify's founder and CEO Daniel Ek on Monday tweeted: "Hey @BarackObama, I heard you were interested in a role at Spotify. Have you seen this one?"

Obama has not responded yet.
