Turkish police seized 93.4 kilograms of hashish in capital Ankara and 136.6 kg in northwestern provinces of Istanbul and Edirne, Turkish Anatolia news agency reported on Thursday. During operations in Moda district of Istanbul and Camlica village of Kesan town in Edirne as well as in Ankara on Thursday, Turkish police confiscated the drug and arrested 31 people. Turkey is a key transit route for drug smuggling from Asia and the Middle East to the European markets.
