The Turkish Supreme Military Council began a four-day annual meeting here today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Turkish news agency "Anatolia" reported that senior military leaders are attending the meeting, which will discuss promotion of some of the officers holding ranks of Colonel and Admiral to higher positions, in addition to the appointment of generals and admirals of some new military positions. At the end of the meeting, its decisions will be submitted to President Abdullah Gul for their final approval.
