Two soldiers have been killed in separate attacks in Afghanistan, the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) announced Sunday. One soldier was killed by a homemade bomb in eastern Afghanistan on Saturday, ISAF said in a statement without elaborating on the incident. The coalition added that another soldier was killed during an operation in southern Afghanistan on Friday. Coalition casualties in the war-torn country have been climbing sharply in recent years. On Saturday, a man in Afghan army uniform killed one soldier in Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan. “An individual wearing an Afghan National Army uniform turned his weapon against International Security Assistance Force service members in southern Afghanistan today, killing one service member,” NATO said.
