The formation of the UAE-Ireland Parliamentary Friendship Committee was formally announced during a ceremony held today at Ireland's Parliament House in Dublin.
The ceremony was attended by Sean O Fearghail, Ceann Comhairle of Dail Eireann - Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Saeed Mohammed Ali Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland, Abdullah Fahad Al Manhali, Second Secretary at the UAE Embassy in Dublin, along with a number Irish Members of Parliament.
The move is a major step forward to advance the economic, political, and cultural relations between the two countries.
The formation of the committee culminated in the efforts exerted by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, during her official visit to Ireland in March 2017.
