The UAE’s Ministerial Development Council (MDC), presided over by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, today discussed setting up an integrated system to identify and support talented students.
The new system aims to nurture local talents to ensure the prosperity of the community in all fields. It includes developing a national strategy and tools to support talented and high-ranking students in the UAE. The system also seeks to equip and train local talents as well as coordinate efforts with other federal and local government entities.
The ministerial council also reviewed a new project which will see expatriate doctors and technicians spend a residency year in health facilities in the UAE. The programme aims to attract and train specialised talents in the medical profession in an effort to improve health services in the country.
The MDC discussed a proposal to draft a policy on information dissemination in the federal government, aiming to implement government priorities towards shaping the future. It will support federal and local government entities move to the next phase of interconnectivity towards a smart government and state, as well as help integrate inter-governmental services.
