The British Embassy in Dubai yesterday launched what is being described as the UK"s "largest international investment campaign" to promote inward investment.

The campaign has been entitled, "Invest in GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland."

In a statement, the Consul-General, Paul Fox, said that "The UK has always been open and ready for business and a great place to invest. We have a stable and transparent political, legal and regulatory environment; world class banking and financial services, an ease of doing business that ranks us amongst the highest in the world, and an economy that is forecast to grow steadily over the next few years."

He noted that "The UAE has made some significant investments in the UK, including in infrastructure and real estate, and the UK is the largest investor in the UAE."
