The U.N. special envoy for Libya, Abdul Elah Al-Khatib, said on Monday he is urging all parties to enter into direct talks to find a political solution as the uprising against Moammar Gaddafi\'s rule enters its fifth month. \"I am urging the parties to increase their focus on working towards a political solution,\" the former Jordanian Foreign Minister said. \"We would like to see indirect discussions evolve into direct talks.\" \"It should be clear that any lasting end to the conflict will require a political solution, and this solution must fulfill the Libyan people\'s legitimate aspirations for a peaceful and democratic future.\" He also said that both sides in Libya have asked to use money from funds frozen by Western government\'s to buy food and medicine ahead of the Holy month of Ramadan.
