The Head of the United Nations Mission in Darfur UNAMID, the great improvement of the security situations in Darfur.
This came during the meeting of the UNAMID head of mission, Mr. Burhan Mesk Nika, with the leaderships of the Rapid support Forces RSF, in Niyala, where Mr. Burhan has praised the role been carried by the RSF in the campaign of the arms collection in Darfur, the control of human trafficking, illegal immigration, the rehabilitation of the local administration, the water resources, schools building, the contribution in the local conciliations, and the prevalence of security in general and among the internally displaced people in particular.
He noted to the festivals peace and peaceful coexistence in the state and its localities, which constitute a turning point in the progress of the peace process, adding that the UNAMID works for the improvement of the security situations, and the persons affected by war in the state.
He asserted the mission will to participate in the activities of the peace festival, promising the conduction of training session for the youth of the IDP camps, the conduction of a workshop for the peaceful coexistence between the state's components with partnership with RSF, and wide participation of the state civil society sectors, indicating that the mission's mandate is more concerned with the peace process than before.
Mr. Burhan has commended the efforts of the commander of the RSF, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglu in the service of the country and its people.
