Officials from the United States and the Democratic People\'s Republic of Korea (DPRK) are to meet on resuming recovery of the remains of U.S. soldiers missing in action from the Korean War, the U.S. Defense Department said Monday. According to the Pentagon, the U.S. delegation will meet in Bangkok on Oct. 18 with the DPRK side. The U.S. team will be led by Robert Newberry, deputy assistant secretary of defense for Prisoner of War (POW)/missing personnel affairs. The negotiation team also includes representatives from the Department of State, the Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office, the Joint POW/MIA ( Missing in Action) Accounting Command, the U.S. Pacific Command and the United Nations Command-Korea.
