US Position on Palestinian-Israeli Conflict "Confused," France Says

France described Thursday the United States' position on the conflict between Israel and Palestine as confused and worrying.
This came in comments made to the press by French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Marc Ayrault following a meeting with his American counterpart Rex Tillerson. Ayrault was firm in his dismissal of the possibility of a one-state solution, saying that in France there was only a possibility of two states.
The two officials met on the eve of a G-20 foreign ministers meeting. They discussed a host of international issues including Russia, Syria and Iran.
