Vatican Pope Francis presided Wednesday a mass to bless the Holy Family journey in Egypt as an official Christian pilgrimage.
During his speech at the mass, Pope Francis welcomed the attendants particularly the Egyptian delegation, which was headed by Tourism Minister Yehia Rashed, saying that Egypt is the land of coexistence, hospitality, history and civilization.
Rashed lauded the Pope's announcement, noting that this blessing would promote Egyptian tourism worldwide.
Reviving the path of the holy family journey will lure a large number of Christian tourists worldwide to visit Egypt, Rashed noted.
After Rashed had met with the Pope, he met with pilgrimage officials in Vatican to tackle the mechanism of adopting the path of the Holy Family to Egypt.
