Venezuela has reiterated its support and solidarity with Palestine and the Palestinian people in their struggle for peace, security and stability.
The Venezuelan government condemned on Monday the Israeli government's decision to build a new settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories in a clear violation of Security Council Resolution 2334.    
In a statement, the government said it is unacceptable that Israel carries on its settlement policies that most world countries condemn, adding that continuing such violations undermines the two-state solution that is being touted to bring peace, security and prosperity to Middle East countries.
The government called on Israel to put an immediate end to settlement building that aims to destroy the geographic unity in the West Bank.
