Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez stressed on Sunday that Syria is being exposed to a foreign conspiracy led by the US and some EU countries. In a statement published by Venezuelan newspapers, Chavez expressed his support and solidarity with Syria in the face of this conspiracy, saying \"We, from Venezuela, express our solidarity and support to the Syrian people and President Bashar al-Assad.\" He added the Syrian people,under the leadership of President al-Assad, are resisting an imperialist aggression.\"
