The United States expressed hope to continue peace negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis on the initial date set by the Quartet Committee for Peace in the Middle East. State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland said in press statements Tuesday night that the suggested proposal calls for holding the meeting on October 23rd in Jordan and we hoped that both parties would accept the suggestion. She added that the U.S. envoy David Hill still continuing consultations in the European capitals, noting that she expected to meet Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Europe next Thursday.
