About 120 construction workers have gathered outside a Nottinghamshire power station in a protest about new contracts.They claim contractor at the Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station, Spie Matthew Hall, has told employees to sign new contracts or leave.The Unite union, which has organised the protest, said the contracts would merge grades and cut salaries by 30%.Spie Matthew Hall has declined to comment.Steve Syson, from the Unite union, said: \"The workers are facing dismissal or 30% pay cuts and clearly these guys feel totally aggrieved about it.\"We tried to sit down with the employers to renegotiate the terms and we\'re open to talks with them but unfortunately they\'re not taking place.\"A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said the protest was peaceful and campaigners were handing out leaflets at the roadside.Motorists have been warned of delays on the A453 and have been urged to avoid the area if possible.
