An explosive device went off on Friday in the vicinity of the Palestinian Cabinet headquarters in Gaza.
No casualties were reported.
Eyewitnesses said that the blast was heard near the house of President Mahmoud Abbas in Gaza, that became the current Cabinet headquarters in the strip.
Police spokesman Ayman Batniji said that unidentified persons detonated the explosive device before fleeing.
Security forces rushed to the scene and launched an investigation, he added.
