Israeli forces detained at least 16 Palestinians in overnight raids at their West Bank and Jerusalem homes, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and local sources said.
Israeli forces on Wednesday detained four Palestinians after storming their homes during a raid into Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, including one who was critically wounded in clashes that erupted with the soldiers and later moved to an Israeli hospital in West Jerusalem, said PPS.

Five other Palestinians were detained in Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, after raiding and ransacking their homes, according to the Palestinian Info and News Agency (WAFA).

Police detained a Palestinian after storming his family home in Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem.

Troops conducted a similar raid into Qalandiya refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, detaining three Palestinians, including the father of Hussein Abu Ghosh , 24, who was shot dead by Israeli forces after he allegedly rammed his car into a bus stop near the entrance of Kochav Ya’akov settlement, southeast of Ramallah, on January 25.

A Palestinian was detained from Tulkarem refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

Elsewhere in the northern West Bank, a similar raid was conducted into Fahma village in Jenin district, where two Palestinians, including an attorney, were detained, WAFA reported.
