The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement revealing that one of its fighters was killed, on Monday morning, when a tunnel collapsed on him in Gaza.
The Al-Qassam said that Anas Mousa Abu Shaweesh, from the Tuffah neighborhood, in Gaza City, died after a tunnel, on the Gaza-Egypt border, collapsed on him while he was working in it, according to (IMEMC News).
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in similar accidents, and many more have been injured.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces detained on Monday three citizens from Tulkarm including a released prisoner.
The Israeli occupation forces detained the released prisoner Baha Emad Qa'adan from Tulkarm and Rabee Ahmed Farakh from Far'un village after raiding their houses, Palestine's News Agency said.
Israeli police also arrested citizen Hatem Mohammed Ghanem from Deir al-Ghusun village while he was in the 1948 territories.
