Ten people including six Afghan National Army soldiers were wounded on Wednesday morning in a suicide attack on defense ministry bus in Kabul, officials said. A 3rd police district official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said a suicide attacker detonated his explosive vest after approaching a bus carrying army employees in Kart-i-Sa area.
The third district police chief, Faizullah, told Pajhwok Afghan News that six people had been injured in the bombing, where an investigation team has launched interrogation into the case. Six soldiers and four civilians were injured in the suicide bombing, the defense ministry spokesman, Gen. Zahir Azimi said. Without giving further details, he added the injured have been evacuated to a hospital. Eye witness, Hekmatullah said the army bus was destroyed in the blast. As usual the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, with the group spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid said a suicide bomber stormed a defense ministry bus inflicting casualties to many soldiers.
