Algerian Sports Minister Mohamed Tahmi

Sports Minister, Mohamed Tahmi stressed Monday in Algiers the province of Oran is ready to host the Mediterranean Games in 2021, as the city already has all the necessary infrastructure to make this event successful.
"The application is finalized and wae will be ready for the 2021 MG at all levels," said Sports Minister at the Forum of National Radio.
"Oran will be endowed with an Olympic complex whose works will be completed in 2016, in addition to a pool complex which consists of three basins: Olympic pool, diving pool and water-polo basin. The works to build a sports hall with capacity of 6000 spectators will begin shortly," affirmed.
Sports Minister also said that a committee of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games will visit Algeria in February to check the progress of the work.
According to Tahmi, the 2021 MG is an opportunity for national federations to paint a glowing picture of their athletes internationally.
