Yossi Benayoun believes he should have been awarded a penalty in Saturday’s draw at Stoke. The Israeli went down inside the penalty area after contact from Glenn Whelan but saw his appeals waved away by referee Chris Foy with the scores locked at 1-1. “It was 100 per cent a penalty,” said Benayoun. “I don’t even need to see a replay. I was looking to kick the ball. But the referee did not give it so there is nothing you can do “It is not a bad point. It is always difficult to play against Stoke and obviously we wanted to win. But it is a good point especially after Newcastle lost.” Benayoun’s loan spell from Chelsea is due to end at the end of the season but the midfielder admits he has not given thought to his long-term future just yet. “I have two more games,” he said. “I will give 100 per cent for Arsenal and we will see what happens. I have enjoyed it very much. “When I had the chance to come to Arsenal I knew the methods. I know the team play football and move the ball quickly. Let’s see what happens.”
