Madjid Bougherra

Captain of the Algerian football team Madjid Bougherra, who will join the Desert Foxes for the second friendly match against Romania which will take place in Geneva’s stadium on Wednesday at 7.00 p.m. (local time), said that this match will be more difficult than that played Saturday against Armenia.
“We will play against the Romanian team which missed their qualification for 2014 World Cup. I think that it will be more difficult than Armenia,” Bougherra told Algerian press.
Algeria largely dominated the match (3-1) Saturday at Tourbillon stadium in Sion.
This first preparatory match was marked by the absence of Bougherra, who was given a rest by national coach Vahid Halilhodzic.
“It will be my second and last World Cup. I am proud with my participation in two world cups and particularly to be the team’s captain. For me it’s the top of my career. I hope to do something good in this major global sporting event,” he said.
