International defender Aissa Mandi said he was committed to give everything to Algerian national football team during the next Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2015), in Equatorial Guinea (January 17 – February 8), a continental major event in which he will compete for the first time ever in his career.
"It will be my first participation in an Africa Cup of Nations tournament. It's really a bit of an odd feeling," Mandi said.
"I will give everything to Algeria, I will concentrate only on the national team, however, I will follow the news of my club (Reims)," the player told the official website of the Olympic of Lyon.
Mandi, 22, was called for the first time to be part of Algeria's national team in November 2013, for the Burkina Faso playoff (second leg) during the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, but played his first match with Algeria during the World Cup tournament.
He has since been a full member of the national team, mainly after the arrival of French coach Christian Gourcuff in replacement of Bosnian Vahid Halilhodzic, whose contract expired in July 2014.
At the pool stage of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2015), Algeria will compete in Group C, which also includes Ghana, South Africa and Senegal.
