Conor Coady has spoken of his regard for Rodolfo Borrell and revealed how much of an influence the Spaniard has been on his progess so far. After featuring in the first team during pre-season and training regularly at Melwood during this campaign, the NextGen Series skipper has enjoyed another fruitful campaign for the reserves. \"This season has been fantastic and every year I love playing under Rodolfo because he is a fantastic coach and you are always going to improve working under him,\" Coady told Liverpoolfc.tv. \"For our age level I think it would be a great achievement if we could get that second place as this is a strong league and we\'ve come up against teams fielding a lot of experience. \"I really enjoyed the pre-season going to the Far East. I loved every minute of it being part of the squad and all the fans over there were fantastic. \"Any chance you get to go to Melwood and train with the first team is fantastic and then when you go back to the Academy you just have to work as hard as you can to get another chance.\" Coady and co now face Barclays Premier Reserve League North champions Manchester United at the Kirkby Academy on Thursday - a match you can watch live on LFC TV and LFC TV Online from 1.30pm - and with second place up for grabs the squad are eager for a victory over their rivals. He added: \"People know all about our rivalry with Manchester United and we want to beat them at every level. \"They are a strong athletic side and we will need to be at our best and get at them. They will come here wanting to win but we want the win as well.\" Back on December 15, Borrell\'s charges lost 4-0 to an experienced United outfit in a controversial encounter that saw Suso given a straight red card. \"That game hurt me and the lads very much,\" he said. \"We don\'t like losing any game but to lose 4-0 to Man United was tough to take, especially after we felt Suso\'s sending-off was harsh. \"We now want to put things straight and show what we are made of with 11 men.\"
