Arsène Wenger believes Theo Walcott has enjoyed his finest season yet in an Arsenal shirt. The England international has weighed in with 11 goals from the wing while providing regular assists for Footballer of the Year Robin van Persie. Walcott is sidelined with a hamstring problem picked up in last weekend’s goalless draw with Chelsea but Wenger has confirmed the 23-year-old should be fit for Euro 2012. “For the Euros, he is definitely available,” he said. “It is a minor [injury] - not as big as we thought it was. He has a small chance to play in the last game [against West Brom]. He won’t play against Norwich but for the Euros, there is no doubt. “I think in fact the injury of Walcott is good news for England because he just has a little rest. He had enough competition and now he has a little rest before going there so he should be in a good frame of mind and physically fit. “He has had his best season yet,” added the Frenchman. “He gets criticism because he raises the level of expectation so much that when he has a disappointing game or doesn’t make the difference, people straight away go at him because they expect something special.
