19th Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology Congress opens

The 19th Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology Congress, APLAR 2017, opened its doors today under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Health Authority. The congress is supported by the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, and is being held at Dubai World Trade Centre in the presence of prominent and renowned Arab and international doctors. The APLAR Conference will run until 20/10/2017.

The 19th session of the conference will address the latest studies, techniques and discoveries in the treatment of rheumatism and the fight against arthritis through a series of specialised sessions. In focus will be topics such as the control of rheumatic diseases, challenges of biological treatment, and other rheumatism-related issues. In addition, the most important medical companies offering new treatments will also exhibit their services and products on the sidelines of the conference.

About 2,000 rheumatologists from around the world are expected to participate in the conference, during which seventy lectures and workshops will be held by professors and doctors presenting the latest techniques on the modern treatment of rheumatism.

APLAR is one of the most important medical events in this field in terms of the scientific content of the conference and the strong networking opportunities it provides for international communities concerned with the treatment of rheumatism, and this is indicated by the increase in the number of participants over the last four years to more than 3,000 participants.
