Head of Egypt's Ambulance Authority Ahmed el Ansary said 21 ambulances were sent to transfer the people who were injured when a five-story building collapsed in Ramses street in Ismailia early Monday.
Six people were injured and one died in the incident, Ansary said in a statement.
Wounded are suffering from fractures, he added.
The building collapsed at dawn Monday, he said, adding that the ambulances rushed to the scene within five minutes.
The reason behind the collapse has not been yet clear.
