Three Tunisian soldiers were killed and seven others injured on Monday when several anti-tank mines detonated in Kasserine Governorate, spokesman for the Defense Ministry Colonel Belhassen Oueslati announced

Rocket-propelled grenades (RPG) and machine guns were used in the attack that targeted forces securing paving the road of Djebel Sammama, the spokesman stated, adding that two of the injured soldiers are in critical condition.

As clashes between Tunisian army and the armed men continued, at least two of the terrorists were injured, Oueslati pointed out.

A bag filled with explosions was seized by the army after the terrorists abandoned it, Oueslati added.

Civilians working on paving Djebel Sammama were safely evacuated from the operation area. There was no word on casualties.
