The 6th cycle of UAE Ideas Conference & Award 2017 discussed innovation and its development in organisations and the role of innovative ideas to advance sustainable development in the UAE.

The annual conference in Arabic brought together Emirati as well as other local talents, industry leaders and innovation experts under a single platform to speak on the significance of incorporating innovative practices at work and how profoundly it impacts today’s economy and society.

The one-day event was organised on Sunday by the Dubai Quality Group under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Emirates Airline & Group and the Honorary Patron of Dubai Quality Group.

Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi,Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation, Ras al-Khaimah, and Fatma Buti Al Mheiri, Chairman of Dubai Quality Group, addressed the event.

Organisers said the conference seeks to adopt a priority of the strategic plan of the UAE, in which encourages innovation and research and development, encourage organisation to invest in Emirati human resources and create an ideal work environment that stimulate and encourage creativity and innovation, strengthen national identity through creativity and its impact on the national identity, motivate and encourage national ideas, adopt government guidelines regarding the promotion of Arabic language through rewarding the creative ideas and innovation in this field.

Winners of the best creative and innovative ideas were honoured.

The award forms an integral part of the Conference, which was introduced in the year 2012 by the group to encourage the extensive adoption of innovation.
