As part of the inaugural Zayed Al Khair Convoy, held on 19th and 20th October in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation, ADMAF, engaged visitors with cultural and artistic activities to share knowledge, inspire creativity and raise awareness of its work across the UAE.

Promoting its dynamic educational programmes, the ADMAF pavilion held interactive activities to nurture and foster interest in artistic education through music, arts, and literature. Children were given the opportunity to explore clay modelling, painting and more, led by the foundation’s education and community team.

Visitors were also given the chance to spin the 'Wheel of Fortune', answering questions to win prizes. Audiences attended a book signing with Emirati author Mohamed Nouraldin for his work 'Essays on Sheikh Zayed’s Poems', as well as joining storytelling sessions with Emirati children’s authors Hessa Al Mazrouei and Badria Al Shamsi.

Inspired by the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the values, principles and traditions he instilled, ADMAF’s year-round programmes seek to nurture the capabilities and human intellect of Emirati youth. Information about ADMAF’s art and educational platforms were shared with visitors to raise awareness of the foundation’s commitment to developing creative thinking and talents to build on the nation’s rich cultural heritage.

Rewarding and celebrating creative excellence, the pavilion also provided information on ADMAF Awards, including The TOTAL Design Commission Award, Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award, ADMAF Creativity Award, ADMAF Comic Arts Award, and the Abu Dhabi Festival Visual Arts Award.

ADMAF also showcased a video work of 23 Emiratis named Zayed, exploring what the name and the ideals of the founding father meant to them. The film, entitled, ‘My Name Is Zayed' was presented by ADMAF and curated by Zarina Yousef.

The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development launched the Zayed Al Khair Convoy with the aim of sharing cultural, intellectual and community services with the UAE community. More than 80 partners from local, federal and private bodies participated in the convoy, which was home to 90 pavilions and more than 140 various activities, events and programmes.
