The Administrative Control Authority (ACA) has arrested a gang that was involved in the embezzlement of EGP 3.5 millions from the economic housing fund in Suez governorate.

The arrested people, of whom an auditor working at the government body, face charges of forging official documents concerning a project to offer housing units for newly-married citizens, the ACA said in a statement on Tuesday.

Also, the ACA has seized laptops and forged documents that were in the possession of the defendants, the statement added.
