The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport, DMAT, - Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Abu Dhabi Public Services Company, Musanada, are carrying out internal road and infrastructure projects in Shakhbut city. The works, at a cost tag of AED276,998,000, are slated for completion in the first quarter of 2019.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Musanada stated that such vital projects marked their firm belief in the importance of providing world-class, safe and efficient infrastructure in line with the developments taking place in the emirate on all fronts. The projects also reflect their keenness to address the needs and aspirations of the population and improve the quality of life in the city.
Musanada said that the implementation of the strategic transport projects, which contribute to realising the objectives of Abu Dhabi Plan, was one of its priorities. It reported that these projects played a vital role in enhancing the quality of infrastructure and supporting the economic development of Abu Dhabi Emirate in particular and in the UAE in general.
The two sides noted that the ongoing project works included extending communications and sanitation networks, as well as water and electricity lines to 423 land plots.
The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport - Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Musanada said that as well as telecommunications, drainage, water and electricity network, they provide high-quality street lighting to international specifications, costing AED4,613,000. Through providing these services, they aim to meet the public safety requirements of road users in Shakhbout city, and enhance traffic safety,
