Arab League

The activities of the Arab Sustainable Development Week started on Sunday under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and in the presence of Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit, Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali and UN Assistant Secretary General Mourad Wahba.

The event will run until Wednesday within the framework of the keenness of the Arab League to spread the concept of sustainability and achieve its aims within the UN 2030 plan.

The conference will discuss a number of important issues that aim at creating effective partnership among all the parties concerned to guarantee sustainable development in the Arab world.

The event will also tackle the role of sustainable development in achieving economic growth in the Arab region, role of comprehensive and sustainable manufacturing, economic growth and infrastructure, food and water security along with the role of the civil society in supporting governments to achieve sustainable development.

The conference will shed light on the challenges facing the youth.
