Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, stressed that the offensive carried out by the Lebanese Army in the outskirts of Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa areas against terrorist Daesh Organization was clean and heroic.
Speaking during the funeral ceremony in honor of the fallen servicemen, General Aoun said that the battle against Daesh was "clean" and "heroic", adding that the Lebanese Army still has great sacrifices to make.
"From now on, the army will be deployed along Lebanon's eastern border range," Aoun went on.
Aoun saluted the families of the abducted soldiers over their patience in revealing the fate of their kidnapped sons, saying "the waiting years were heavy, and you did not lose confidence in [the work] of the Military Institutions."
"The unity and territorial integrity of Lebanon is safeguarded by the army and its martyrs alone," he went on.
Aoun concluded by saying "the victory over terrorism is inevitable...Fajr al-Joroud operation achieved its goals
