A delegation from the Council of Representatives led by First Deputy Speaker, Ali Al Aradi, today held a meeting with Iraq’s Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al Jaafari.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Bahraini delegation’s visit to Iraq at the invitation of Iraq’s Council of Representatives.
Al Aradi commended the Bahraini-Iraqi relations binding the two countries backed by interest of both leaders, HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Fuad Masum, in further promoting them.
Al Aradi noted keenness of Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla to activate the parliamentary role in broadening cooperation amid the developments of terrorist acts seen by the region, which threaten security and stability of Arab nation.
He affirmed Bahrain’s support for Iraqi efforts to maintain its security and stability and confronting the failed terrorist attempts that target undermining the national unity.
Al Jaafari welcomed the Bahraini delegation’s visit, praising the solid Bahraini-Iraqi relations and both leaders’ interest in bolstering the bilateral relations at various levels.
He also underlined Iraq's support to Bahraini efforts to establish local and regional security and stability.
