Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al- Khalifa on Monday appointed his son the first deputy prime minister. According to the royal decree, Bahrain\'s crown prince, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is tasked with overseeing some government bodies. Since the unrest in 2011, opposition groups in Bahrain have been calling on the crown prince, who is considered a moderate one, to be bestowed with greater powers and requesting his presence in the ongoing national dialogue.
